THE WILDHEARTS Announce Upcoming Tour, Recording Plans

February 25, 2002

Britain's reunited THE WILDHEARTS will be embarking on a 10-show UK tour this April. Exact dates and venues will be announced shortly. According to mainman Ginger, the line-up "seems certain" to consist of Ginger, bassist Danny, guitarist CJ and drummer Stidi.

"How better to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of THE WILDHEARTS than with the line-up that formed this band and appeared on the classic debut album Earth Vs The Wildhearts?" said Ginger.

It's also likely that the band will record an EP of new material to coincide with the tour, with a brand new album to follow next year.

"But don't feel that next year is too long to wait," stated Ginger. "There will be a DVD available at some point this year featuring live and documentary footage, promo videos, and never before seen archive material celebrating 10 Years: The Story So Far."

In related news, a brand new SILVERGINGER 5 album is currently in the works for a tentative late 2002 release. The group, featuring Ginger and former ELECTRIC BOYS frontman Conny Bloom, have finished writing the material for the upcoming CD and are expecting to record it in March, with some live dates tentatively scheduled to take place later in the year.
